Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some of the questions that we receive most frequently for the brand new community of Lanark Landing in Airdrie, Alberta.

Q: Will Lanark Landing have a lake?
A: Melcor has determined developing a lake community  is not feasible. Airdrie City Council adopted a Community Area Structure Plan amendment in support of the lake concept on February 5, 2018. However:
  • The land where the lake would be located requires major infrastructure upgrades; and,
  • The timing and expense of the leading infrastructure is uncertain.
Due to this uncertainty, Melcor decided not to invest in a lake community in Airdrie.

Q: When will homes in Lanark Landing be for sale?
A: Homes are now pre-selling through our builders. We expect showhomes to be open Spring 2020. Sign up for our email newsletter to be the first to know about our community progress, our Grand Opening and showhome openings.

Q: What are the amenities in Lanark Landing?
A: So many things! With parks on every block connected to local and regional pathways, getting around on foot, by bike, scooter, skateboard or your preferred mode of transportation is easy! These parks feature lounge chairs and benches, playground equipment, pergolas, lush plantings and lighting for your night time stroll. There are also amphitheatres, picnic tables, a basketball court, a four season gathering space with shelter, community gardens and a community fire pit. There is a school site with sports fields and a boarded rink. The round-abouts are decoratively landscaped to truly differentiate the community. The landscaped storm pond features multiple plazas with seating and pergolas and is connected to the regional multi-use trail system.

Q: Will Lanark Landing have a homeowners association?
A: Yes. When we build community amenities that go above and beyond city standards, we establish a Homeowners Association (HOA) to ensure that these amenities are maintained for the long-term enjoyment of all residents. The HOA maintains these extra special community amenities, so you can rest assured that the features you love in your shiny new community will remain in great condition.

Q: What are the HOA fees expected to be?
A: The initial fees are estimated at $100/year. Fees are collected once per year, with a maximum allowable fee set in the encumbrance on title.

We are committed to building communities that enrich quality of life - communities where people live, work, shop and play.
